List of Macro Databases

 

The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis is the center of the Eighth District of the Federal Reserve System. This District includes Arkansas, eastern Missouri, southern Illinois and Indiana, western Kentucky and Tennessee, and northern Mississippi.The Research Division of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis is responsible for advising the Bank president on matters of economic policy. The Division monitors the economic and financial literature and produces research in the areas of money and banking, macroeconomics, and international and regional economics.A diverse group of Bank publications allows the Research Division to address quickly changing economic trends, explore the relevance of historical and current data for economic policy, and expand the understanding of issues relevant to the Eighth District and beyond.The Research Division also furnishes its working papers to provide insight into current Bank interests and developing theories and to stimulate discussion.This site offers a wealth of economic data and information to promote economic education and enhance economic research. The widely used database FRED is updated regularly and allows 24/7 access to regional and national financial and economic data.

 

OECD.Stat includes data and metadata for OECD countries and selected non-member economies.

 

A variety of macro related indicators for various countries.

 

AMECO is the annual macro-economic database of the European Commission's Directorate General for Economic and Financial Affairs. The database is regularly cited in Commission publications and is indispensable for the analyses and reports of the Directorate General.

 

Eurostat is the statistical office of the European Union situated in Luxembourg. Its mission is to provide high quality statistics for Europe. 

 

The IMF publishes a range of time series data on IMF lending, exchange rates and other economic and financial indicators. Manuals, guides, and other material on statistical practices at the IMF, in member countries, and of the statistical community at large are also available.

 

Our service provides unified access to the UK's largest collection of social, economic and population data for research and teaching purposes covering a range of different disciplines.

The majority of our data are fully anonymised, unless otherwise specified in the relevant online catalogue records, and are therefore not suitable for genealogical users or family historians.

The Integrated Network for Societal Conflict Research (INSCR) was established to coordinate and integrate information resources produced and used by the Center for Systemic Peace. The following data resources were prepared by researchers associated with the Center for Systemic Peace and are generated and/or compiled using open source information. These resources are made available as a service to the research community. All CSP/INSCR data resources have been cross-checked with other data resources to ensure, as far as possible, that the information recorded is accurate, reliable, and comprehensive.

 

The World Inequality Database (WID.world) aims to provide open and convenient access to the most extensive available database on the historical evolution of the world distribution of income and wealth, both within countries and between countries.

You should be able to access the data on any computers in the campus. You can not access the data off-campus. Please check the Postgraduate Info Area in Qmplus for further details.

 

Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS) databases are available from their web site. Please register your own WRDS account on their web site. Please select "Master / Undergraduate Student" as the Affiliation Type and enter your school name in the Department box. During the busy period, the account approval process could take several weeks.
